Mission
The Ecclesial Schools Initiative exists to expand access to extraordinary education by creating a network of thriving neighborhood schools planted and nurtured in local churches, offering a rich learning atmosphere, classical liberal arts curriculum, and formative Christian practices to children of diverse social and economic backgrounds.
Ecclesial
The word ecclesial comes from ekklesia, the Greek word the New Testament uses for Church, and means related to or oriented towards the Church. There is no better word to express the heart of our mission and our educational model.
ESI builds partnerships with local Church congregations that have a vision for Christian education and a heart for the families of their communities. Partnering with these congregations to plant schools on their properties not only helps us keep costs low, it provides the essential environment for spiritual and moral formation for our students.
ESI makes private education truly accessible by connecting our families to Florida’s choice scholarship funds while bridging the gap between scholarships and actual costs through the generous support of financial sponsors.
Funding
ESI serves children from socially and economically diverse backgrounds.
Our commitment to financial accessibility is displayed in two important metrics: 35% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch, while 75% or more receive need-based financial sponsorships.
All students qualify for Florida’s choice scholarship funding.
