Brittany Smith is excited to transition to a new role for The Ecclesial Schools. This year Ms. Smith will be serving both campuses as the ESI+ Coordinator where she will play a pivotal role in enriching the student experience beyond the classroom in coordinating field trips, after school clubs and sports, as well as After Care. This position involves designing, implementing, and overseeing a diverse range of extracurricular activities that complement the school's educational mission. The coordinator works closely with faculty, parents, and staff to offer programs that foster students' intellectual, artistic, and physical development. Whether organizing academic clubs, sports, arts, or service projects, the coordinator is committed to enhancing the holistic development of students, supporting their interests, and helping them discover new passions.
Brittany is a certified K-12 art teacher through the state of Florida and has a Bachelor of Arts in media communications from Asbury University in Wilmore, KY. Brittany believes that all students should be confident enough to pick up a pencil and start drawing anything they see or imagine. Brittany has enjoyed teaching students in aftercare programs and summer camps in New Jersey where she spent her teen and college years, and in the local school district here in Florida.
Brittany has been married to her husband Daniel for 14 years. They have three children: Ellie, Jessica, George, and a new blessing on the way. When their children reached school age, Daniel and Brittany started looking for a Christ-centered education that promoted classical values and did not follow modern teaching trends. A family friend recommended The Ecclesial School, and the girls have been blossoming in the classical Christian setting. Brittany believes that the opportunity to work at the Ecclesial School was a blessing from God and the culmination of a variety of learning experiences. She is looking forward to sharing her love for art and for the beauty of God’s creation with the students in art this year and to giving them a safe and encouraging environment to socialize and grow in the aftercare program.
