Caitlyn Thompson

Caitlyn Thompson is a fifth-grade teacher at The Ecclesial School at Northland. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Biblical Studies, she taught 2nd grade for four years at an international school in Southeast Asia. This deepened a love for diverse places and communities and enriched her perspective as a teacher. She returned to the United States in 2015 and earned a Master of Education degree in Instruction and Learning and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. After teaching in higher education for two years, Caitlyn returned to Florida in 2020 to be closer to her family. She believes strongly that education from a Christian perspective can play a vital role in a child’s academic and spiritual development and considers it a privilege to partner with parents in the discipleship of their children. Her favorite part of being a teacher is the opportunity to build a safe and dynamic learning community with the students in her class. She is excited to continue in fifth grade as a part of the ESI community.

Caitlyn is very involved at Grace Church in Maitland and serves in the family ministry on the weekends. When she is not at school or church, Caitlyn enjoys spending time with her family who live in the area. She loves to read, snuggle with her cats, plan her next adventure (preferably to a US National Park or another country) and follows soccer (both club and country) passionately.
