Kim DeWitt

Kim DeWitt is thrilled to join The Ecclesial School at Northland as a fourth-grade teacher. She has always had a passion for teaching children and has wanted to be a teacher from a young age. She was a nanny and tutor during college while she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from The University of Central Florida. She then went on to teach second grade for five years in Seminole County Public Schools before becoming a stay-at-home mom. During her eleven years at home, she did many things within the realm of education, including coursework to keep her Florida Teaching Certificate current, teaching English virtually, teaching preschool part-time, teaching at gifted/enrichment camps, substitute teaching for grades K-5, and teaching Sunday School at her church. Now that all her children are school age, she feels God has called her back to education full-time.

Kim believes that God created each child with unique gifts. Children learn and thrive when they know they are seen and loved. She is thrilled to encourage a love of learning, and to walk alongside each of her students in their educational journeys.

When she's not in the classroom, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, their three beautiful children, and her extended family. She also loves going for walks, relearning to play the piano, and visiting the beautiful Florida beaches.
